AEA is the only locally owned credit union in Yuma and La Paz counties and we have been a part of the community for over 77 years. As a member-owned financial cooperative, you are part of something bigger than financial services—you're family!
- Membership at AEA is open to you or an immediate family member who lives, works, worships, or attends school in either Yuma or La Paz County, Arizona.
- Once a member, your family members and others living within your household are also eligible to join.
- Establishing membership at AEA begins by simply opening a Share Savings Account with a deposit of $25 or more. This deposit represents your piece of ownership in the credit union and serves as your membership account. There is a one-time membership establishment fee of $5.00.*
- Once your account has been opened all the benefits of membership - including special perks like discounts through Sprint/Nextel, great deals on vacation packages, and other discounts - will be yours!
Applying for a Loan
You are welcome to apply for a loan before becoming a member, however; membership will be required before your loan is funded.
*If you are age 18 and under and would like to become a member, you will need to visit your local AEA branch in person with your guardian. Since an adult co-signer is required on accounts for minors, your guardian will need to be present for identity verification.
