Scholarship Guidelines
AEA Federal Credit Union's Scholarship Program
Submissions Due: April 15, 2009
The AEA Federal Credit Union Scholarship, established in 2002 provides financial assistance to high school students graduating in 2009 who will be attending college, university or approved trade or vocational school in Arizona.
All scholarship applications must be submitted to your school counselor on or before April 15, 2009. To apply, you must be a 2009 graduate from a high school in Yuma or La Paz County.

Scholarship Requirements and Guidelines:
Applicants/Recipients Must:
- Be residents of Yuma or La Paz County
- Be planning to enroll for the 2009-2010 academic year for a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or greater through the fall semester of the current academic year*
- Be a 2009 graduate of a high school in Yuma or La Paz county
- Be a member of AEA Federal Credit Union (parent, legal guardian, or grandparents)
The Scholarship:
- Is an academic scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 renewable for 3 consecutive academic school years at $500 per year
- Will be sent to the school to be applied to tuition, books, and/or on-campus housing on behalf of the recipient. There will be no cash disbursement to the student.
- Will be awarded to one recipient at each of the selected high schools in Yuma and La Paz County each year.
- Will additionally be awarded to one qualified child of an AEA FCU staff member per year.
*Academic school year is defined as attending college from August - May of that year.
