Employee Benefits
The following is a summary of the benefits that are available to the employees of AEA FCU following a 90-day introductory period.
Medical Insurance: Offered through BlueCross/BlueShield of Arizona. AEA FCU pays 91.97% ($458.20/monthly) of the premium amount for the employee. A $15,000 life insurance policy is attached to this policy at no additional cost to the employee. This benefit is available to Full Time Employees Only. The employee cost per pay period/monthly is as follows:

Dental Insurance: (Voluntary Plan) Offered through Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. This benefit is available to Full and Part Time Employees.

Vision Insurance: Offered through VSP. This benefit is available to Full and Part Time Employees.

AFLAC Insurance: Offered through AFLAC. This benefit is available to Full and Part Time Employees. This benefit includes supplemental insurance to a major medical insurance policy. This includes Cancer, Accident, ICU, Hospital Confinement, and Life Insurance. The premium amounts will vary, based on individual qualifications and policy selection. An AFLAC representative will contact you prior to the conclusion of your 90-day introductory period.
Pre-Paid Legal Casualty: A plan to give you and your family affordable access to legal services for your personal and work life. It is your benefit protection against countless legal matters. $7.98/per pay period; $15.95/monthly.
Life Insurance: (Pays two times your annual salary) Offered through Metlife. This benefit is available to Full Time Employees Only. AEA pays the entire premium amount for you.
AD&D Insurance: (Pays $25,000) Offered through Metlife. This benefit is available to Full Time Employees. AEA pays the entire premium for you.
Long Term Disability: (Pays 66 2/3% of your salary) Offered through Metlife. This benefit is available to Full Time Employees Only. This benefit becomes available after 90 days of disability. AEA pays the entire premium amount for you.
Cafeteria Plan/Section 125: This allows all medical insurance premiums paid by the employee to be offered on a pre-tax basis. It provides a tax-sheltered benefit to employees who elect to have their premium amounts deducted pre-tax.
401K Plan: (AEA will match your contribution up to 6%) Offered though CUNA Mutual Group. This benefit is available to Full and Part Time Employees. To qualify, you must be at least 21 years of age, been employed at AEA for a minimum of one year, and had to have worked a minimum of 1000 hours during the previous plan year. Open enrollment in March, June, Sepetmeber and December. Contributions begin in January, April, July and October of each calendar each year.
Bereavement Leave: (Allows for 3-5 days of paid leave for a death of an immediate family member) This benefit is available to Full Time Employees Only. For this policy, immediate family member is defined as; mother, father, brother, sister, grandparents, child, in-laws, spouse, or person who raised the employee. This time off is not deducted from the employees PTO.
Paid Time Off: (Accruals begin on date of hire) This benefit is available to Full and Part Time Employees. The time begins to accrue on your date of hire, but does not become available until after your 90-day introductory period.
Free Checking Pack Account: Our FREE Checking Pack account is a benefit available to Full and Part Time Employees. AEA Federal Credit Union's Free Checking Pack offers account access from virtually anyplace, at anytime. Free checking is packaged with free convenience services such as: AEAonline, Tellerphone, AEAbillpay, AEAe-statements, our Visa check card, overdraft protection from savings, no monthly service fee, no minimum opening balance required, unlimited check writing and no minimum daily balance required. Plus, free checks of any style.
Free AEAbillpay: This benefit is available to Full and Part Time Employees. AEAbillpay is a "pay anyone" online bill payment service.
Career Clothing Loan: This benefit is available to Full and Part Time Employees. This is an interest free loan pre-approved for all employees to purchase career clothing items. All clothes must be approved by supervisor. Full Time Employees qualify for $500.00. Part Time Employees qualify for $250.00.
Education and Career Development Loan: This benefit is available to Full and Part Time Employees after a 90-day introductory period. This is an interest free loan pre-approved for all employees to pursue any professional development training that will enhance their skills. Maximum loan amount is $500.00. All employees are required to bring copies of receipts, tuition fees, and class schedule to their immediate supervisor.
Wellness Program: After three months of continuous employment, Full and Part Time employees and family members are eligible to request an AEA FCU's wellness program loan. The loan amount requested is to be used to purchase a six months membership to the 4th Avenue Gym or YMCA. Repayment of this loan will be processed by means of payroll deduction through AEA FCU. The $10.00 cost of Gym Identification cards for 4th Avenue Gym will be at the employees own expense.

SAM’S Club Group Membership: Employees can take advantage of the great savings offered through SAM’S Club stores. A yearly membership fee of $32.52, paid through payroll deduction in one payment or two payments of $16.26 each. Joint card can also be added for the same fee.
