Employee Benefits

The following is a summary of the benefits that are available to the employees of AEA FCU on the first of the month following 90-days of employment.

Medical Insurance: Offered through BlueCross/BlueShield of Arizona. AEA FCU pays a portion of the premium amount for the employee. Two medical plans are offered. A $15,000 life insurance policy is attached to this policy at no additional cost to the employee. This benefit is available to full time employees only on the first of the month following 30-days.

Dental Insurance: Available to full and part time employees and their dependants on the first of the month following 30-days. Dental rewards, carry-over, and orthodontia benefits also.

Vision Insurance: Vision Service Plan available to full and part time employees and their dependants on the first of the month following 30-days.

AFLAC Insurance: This benefit is available to full and part time employees and their dependants. AFLAC offers several different supplemental products that are strictly voluntary worksite products. The premium amounts will vary, based on individual qualifications and policy selection.

Pre-Paid Legal Casualty: A plan to give you and your family various types of and affordable access to legal services for your personal and work life. It is your benefit protection against countless legal matters.

Life Insurance: Offered through Sun Life Insurance. Available to full time employees only. Pays two times your annual salary up to $450,000. AEA FCU pays the entire premium amount for you. Benefits paid to beneficiary(ies)designated by employee.

AD&D Insurance: Offered through Sun Life Insurance. Available to full time employees. AD&D Insurance pays an additional benefit up to the amount of your life benefit if you suffer a covered loss due to an accident. AEA FCU pays the entire premium for you.

Long Term Disability: Offered through Sun Life Insurance. Available to full time employees only. This benefit pays 66.23% of your monthly pay up to a maximum of $9,000 per month. Begins after you have been absent from work for 90 days or more because of a covered accident or sickness. AEA FCU pays the entire premium amount for you.

401K Plan: Offered through CUNA Mutual Group. Available to full and part time employees immediately after hire date. AEA matches 50 cents on the dollar up to 6% once you have completed your 90-day introductory period.

Bereavement Leave: All full time employees are eligible for 3-5 days of paid leave for a death of an immediate family member.

Paid Time Off: Accrual begins on date of hire. Available to full and part time employees. Available the pay period after 90-day introductory period.

Good Life Club - Silver Membership Account: Available to full and part time employees. AEA Federal Credit Union's Good Life Club - Silver Membership offers account access from virtually anyplace, at anytime.

Free AEAbillpay: Available to full and part time employees. AEAbillpay is a "pay anyone" online bill payment service.

Career Clothing Loan: Available to full and part time employees. This is an interest free, open-end line-of-credit loan pre-approved for all employees to purchase career clothing items. All clothes must be approved by supervisor. Full time employees qualify for $500.00. Part time employees qualify for $250.00.

Education and Career Development Loan: Available to full and part time employees after a 90-day introductory period. This is an interest free, open-end line-of-credit loan pre-approved for all employees to pursue any professional development training that will enhance their skills. Maximum loan amount is $500.00. All employees are required to bring copies of receipts, tuition fees, and class schedule to their immediate supervisor.

Wellness Program: Availble to full and part time employees and family members. The loan amount requested is to be used to purchase a six month membership. Repayment of this loan will be processed by means of payroll deduction through AEA FCU.

Note: The $10.00 cost of gym identification cards for 4th Avenue Gym will be at the employees own expense.

No membership fee.

SAM’S Club Group Membership: Employees can take advantage of the great savings offered through SAM’S Club stores. A yearly membership fee of $43.36. Joint card can also be added for the same fee.
